A rare succulent plant, which naturally grows on the rocks of the mountains of the Boomriver Canyon in South Africa. It is an attractive, slow-growing succulent plant that clusters over time. Its small fleshy leaves, united at the base in light green pairs are covered with small darker dots. Like the other Conophytum, C. quaesitum also has a particular growth: the new leaves are formed inside the stem and then come out when the old leaves begin to dry out. The dried leaves protect the plant's body during the vegetative rest. In autumn you can admire its fragrant flowers, ranging in color from creamy white to pink.
