Graceful succulent dwarf that compared to other specimens of the genus is larger, reaching even 5 or 6 cm in height. Each body tends to grow grouped with the others, creating a kind of cushion with multiple heads, extremely characteristic and strong visual impact. The name of the species refers to the variety in the form of Conophytum, which tends to consist of two merged leaves with inverted cone, tending to the apex to thin and divide by means of a central fissure. However, the trend is not always perfectly symmetrical and this helps to make each piece unique, never exactly equal to the others. The epidermis is an intense opaque light green, often enriched by showy, slightly darker dots. From the central fissure, in autumn, large and showy flowers bloom on the notes of a bright and bright yellow. Like the other specimens of Conophytum, this plant has a particular growth: the new foliage forms inside the stem and then comes out when the old leaves begin to dry out; the the dried leaves will be very useful during the vegetative rest of the succulent, as they will protect the new plant as a kind of paper sheath.
