Description:
Its name comes from the Greek and literally means 'cone plant' in reference to the shape it takes. C. pellucidum is an exemplar that does not exceed a few centimeters in height but expands horizontally creating wonderful colorful carpets. The fleshy leaves joined two by two assume, with the growth, almost the appearance of pretty and small hearts. The epidermis is smooth and has colors ranging from reddish to brown, with very particular streaks or dots of black or dark brown color creating a very pleasant visual effect. The flowering period of C. pellucidum goes from late summer to autumn and in the crack between the two leaves bloom small white or purple flowers.

Plant care:
It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 5 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once every two weeks in spring and summer, reduce it to every two months in autumn and to suspend it completely in winter.
The best soil is a well draining one, for example formed by a mix of peat and pumice so that water does not stagnate.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
