Description:
It is a dwarf succulent, which clusters easily, creating beautiful green carpets. It reaches the maximum height of 5 cm. It has fleshy, paired, obovate or cylindrical leaves, slightly keeled at the apex, of a color, ranging from glaucous to greyish, covered with small darker dots. Like the other Conophytum, this plant also has a particular growth: the new leaves are formed inside the stem, which then come out, when the old leaves begin to dry out. The dry leaves protect the plant body during vegetative rest like some sort of a blanket.

Plant care:
It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 5 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once every two weeks in spring and summer, reduce it to every two months in autumn and to suspend it completely in winter.
The best soil is a well draining one, for example formed by a mix of peat and pumice so that water does not stagnate.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
