Conophytum maxium

The name of the species refers to the rather large size compared to the other succulents of the genus, with roundish heads, with flattened surface, reaching almost 3 cm of diameter. It is a rather fast-growing plant, which tends to grow horizontally in cushions with multiple heads. It is equipped with green-greyish epidermis enriched by slight darker spots and a central fissure from which, between late summer and mid-autumn, large flowers bloom on the notes of pink or white, very simple but equally elegant!
