Conophytum maughanii

C. maughanii is a species very loved by collectors for its look of multiple particularities. It usually comes with only one head, but sometimes it can present even more together giving life to a wonderful green pillow. It’s made up of two completely fused lobes, except for the central fissure from which the inflorescences will bloom. The delicate and opaque epidermis can vary from green, yellowish to light orange; between spring and summer begins to thin and dry, acting as a sort of cocoon able to protect the succulent from the hottest heat and the scorching sun, until autumn, when the plant will resume its regular life. Its flower is nocturnal and very fragrant, similar to a simple but refined daisy.
