Extremely peculiar succulent characterized by reduced heights, but tending to grow horizontally to give rise to pleasant cushions with multiple heads. Arranged in pairs that grow from the center of the plant, the leaves are extremely fleshy and wedge-shaped compressed laterally: from this unusual shape derives the name of the species, which in Latin means "dug" with reference to the concavity of the foliage in the apical part. The epidermis is of a pleasant greyish-green, very clear and opaque, which perfectly matches with the large daisies flowers in shades of a pinkish-white or yellowish-white.
