Description:

The Caralluma socotrana is a truly elegant plant, its branched stem is of a beautiful light green, with pointed tubercles of the same color that rise up to the top of the stems. The body of this species almost seems to have veins and this feature makes it special. However, the most impressive part are undoubtedly the flowers: they bloom at the apex of the stem, their shape is very reminiscent of a five-pointed star and their color is spectacular, it can vary from fiery red to orange red. This species is really beautiful and will look great especially at the time of flowering.

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 8 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer, once every two months in autumn and winter.

A well draining soil is an optimal solution, for example formed by a mix of peat and pumice so that water does not stagnate.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
