Description:
It is a rare, very robust succulent plant with a columnar habit, which at first sight resembles a cactus. Its name refers to its angular stem up to 1 m long, with irregular and indented margins, generally of a light green color; with exposure to the sun a faint purple line may appear in the center. The particularity for which it is very appreciated and loved by green collectors is its beautiful flowers, which form a wonderful star-shaped bouquet of an extravagant purple-black color.

Plant care:
It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 8 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water moderately only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer, once every two months in autumn and winter.
A well draining soil is an optimal solution, for example formed by a mix of peat and pumice so that water does not stagnate.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
