Description:
Beautiful and extremely rare cactus, a miniature jewel that in less than 5 cm in diameter manages to have an impressive wealth of details. With a globular shape, it has rounded and slightly prominent longitudinal ribs, characterized by numerous horizontal furrows, similar to very close wrinkles. In the mature plants the areoles are arranged to create a continuous vertical line enriched by some sparse, weak and extremely thin thorns. The yellowish-green body fades towards a greyish in the older part, while a characteristic white fluff comes out at the apex that allows it to be easily distinguished and which, in summer, is adorned with beautiful pinkish flowers with a darker central stripe: it is incredible how many details are in such a small specimen!
