Astroloba herrei f. variegated

The variegated form of this succulent has yellowish or lighter shades in places on the epidermis where there is a lack of chlorophyll. Each variegated specimen is unique, as the variegation is never identical. In its normal form, A. herrei is a relatively rare succulent, with stems up to 20 cm long, densely covered with triangular, fleshy, pointed leaves of a greyish-green colour, opaque on the upper part. At first glance it looks a lot like Astroloba spiralis, from which it differs for its beautiful flowers, which are swollen (not wrinkled like those of A. spiralis), of a tender creamy-white colour. The plant flowers between June and November.
