The name of the genus Anacampseros derives from the Greek "ἀνακαμπψέρος" and means "to lower", in fact it is a succulent plant with low growth, which grows easily and takes on a ground covering habit. A. Rufescens f. variegata in Chinese is called '春梦殿锦', which means "Spring Dream" due to the beautiful shades from green to magenta that its small fleshy leaves present. Each rosette is made up of a maximum of 70 obovate, sharp, very dense and spirally arranged leaves; they can be of different sizes. The peduncles and flowers are purple. This wonderful hybrid is not present in nature but is created in nurseries by crossing two A. Rufescens.
Being a cultivar, this succulent inherits some characteristics of its parents such as shape, habit, strengths and needs. The parents are originally from the Cape Province of South Africa. This means that the genus has adapted to the climatic conditions of the area of origin to ensure its survival. Our hybrid therefore, like its parents, needs abundant light; it must be placed in ventilated places and during the hottest hours of summer days it must not be exposed to direct sunlight. The ideal soil for this plant is mixed with pumice and clay, suitable for succulents as it is well draining. In this way the water does not stagnate in the soil and root rot, to which the plant is subject, does not occur. Watering must not be frequent, the soil must be dry between one watering and another while in winter it can be suspended. In spring you can admire its beautiful white or pink flowers, which bloom from a long peduncle.
