Aloinopsis malherbei in its varied form is a highly sought-after specimen. The yellowish variegation due to the lack of chlorophyll in some areas of the epidermis, creates a strong contrast with the dark green skin. Commonly known as "giant jewel plant" for its size sometimes larger than other species of Aloinopsis, consisting of a large rootstock from which small and delicate fan-shaped rosettes of leaves, flat and with tuberous margins depart. The particularity of this specimen consists precisely in the presence of whitish tubercles only along the jagged margins, maintaining a smooth leaf surface that contrasts pleasantly with its beautiful dark green. Already in the middle of winter you can admire the vivacity and beauty of the large flowers of A. malherbei variegated, which will adorn your rooms with salmon or pink notes. The plant is named after Marthinus Lourens Malherbe, a skilled succulent grower.
