Imposing and solemn succulent, whose name was chosen in honor of the German botanist Rudolf Marloth. It is a specimen accustomed to growing along rocky slopes at high altitudes (which is why it is commonly known also as "Aloe high mountain") and is characterized by a robust central stem that, in nature, can reach over 4 meters in height; This Aloe has a large solitary rosette of stiff and very long leaves (they can reach almost two meters! ), lanceolate and strongly pointed at the apex where they end in robust spikes. The epidermis, of a beautiful greyish-green tending to glaucous, is pleasantly dotted by brownish teeth along the margins and along the entire lower surface, which instead branch off on the upper surface. With the growth the dentition will tend to decrease, remaining particularly marked only along the foliar edges. In spring the charm of the plant is further accentuated by long spikes of showy orange flowers, really peculiar, since from the center of the rosette branch out horizontally outwards (hence the common name of "Aloe flat flower").
