Aloe aculeata f. variegated is a succulent specimen very appreciated for its particular appearance. It has a rosette shape with long fleshy leaves of bluish green colour, covered by thick white teeth with the maroon tip similar to thorns; during the growth these leaves tend to curve towards the centre. The epidermis has vertical yellowish streaks, in the areas where there is a lack of chlorophyll and that give the plant a unique appearance in its kind because the variegated specimens will never have identical spots with each other. With prolonged exposure to the sun the plant assumes a brownish-red color. During the growth the plant tends to turn on creating new suckers and in winter will bloom its small red-orange flowers.
