Description:
Very particular succulent, consisting of a thin woody stem that tends to branch rapidly giving rise to wonderful shrubs several meters high! Each branch is characterized by even 4 cm long and robust thorns, well straight and strongly pointed, which are arranged individually with their greyish hue similar to the woody branches. In the vegetative period this pretty shrub is enriched with small, light green, roundish and fleshy leaves, which create a lively and pleasantly contrasting effect with the ferocious thorns.

Plant care:
It requires a full sun exposure, since it requires plenty of light all year around. When the plants are still very young it is advisable to prottingect them from direct sun rays during the hottest hours of the day.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 10 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water moderately only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once every two weeks in spring and summer, once every two months in autumn and completely suspend watering in winter.
A well draining soil is an optimal solution, for example formed by a mixture of peat and sand so that the water does not stagnate.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
