The name of the species comes from the Latin and literally means "loose, not very tight", referring to the soft arrangement of the characteristic foliage. This succulent is so appreciated for its appearance similar to a miniature tree that it is also commonly known as the "tree of love". It has a rather thin, slightly lignified and hairy stem, which reaches about 50 cm in height, from which small leaves of a beautiful dark green and almost roundish shape branch off alternately. The entire epidermis is covered with short whitish hairs, which gives the leaves an opaque appearance, sometimes with silvery shades when exposed to bright light. In late spring, this cute succulent might delight you with lovely clusters of small yellow flowers.
