Agave pelona 'Excalibur'

This type of Agave is highly sought after by succulents collectors due to its particular appearance and especially its color. They gave it the epithet 'pelona' which means 'bald' in relation to the lack of teeth along the margins of its leaves. It has a rosette arrangement , with lanceolate leaves, long and rigid, ending in a point. The colour of the leaves varies from light to dark green with reddish tips. The real highlight of the plant is the reddish color that takes over time , with ideal climatic conditions and prolonged exposure to the sun. This red shade that begins to appear from the tip to continue towards the edges, creates a wonderful contrast with the light green, leaving everyone speechless. Its red flowers bloom on long stems at the apex of the stem; they have a bell-shaped shape and make the plant even more sought after.
