Agave hybrid guadalajarana x collina

The name of the species refers to the Mexican region of Guadalajara, the first place where this beautiful plant was discovered. It is a compact and solitary rosette, which does not get very large but is remarkably fascinating for its splendid combination of colors. It has leaves closely intertwined, wide, flattened and slightly curved, ending with a stiff and very sharp tip. It takes on a peculiar pale green-blue color, almost white in some places and depending on sun exposure, which contrasts nicely with the reddish brown serrated edges. Its striking appearance is made even more flashy when clusters of particular greenish flowers tinged with purple bloom at the apex of long stems.
