It is a medium sized succulent plant that grows in a rosette shape. The name 'Albopilosa' comes from the Latin words "albus" and "pilosus" which means "white" and "hairy", in fact this plant is characterized by its long and narrow leaves, similar to stems or triangular pencils. It has a lignified apex with terminal spines that over time becomes covered with its characteristic downy tuft. Flowering occurs on long stems in spring, blooming with a "bunch" of beautiful, showy bright purple flowers.
