The name of the Genus Adromischus means "abundant stem" and comes from the Greek words "adros" (abundant) and "mischòis" (stem). It is a perennial succulent plant native to the Karoo desert in South Africa. Its leaves, of a silvery-green color, are fleshy and thick. They have a smooth epidermis with wavy edges, making it highly valued among collectors of this genus. This relatively slow-growing succulent plant vegetates during the autumn period, and is very susceptible to rotting throughout the year.
