Description:
A beautiful caudiciform succulent plant also known as "Desert rose". It is a deciduous shrub (it loses its leaves in the period of vegetative rest) that can reach up to 3 meters in height, has a caudex at the base, where it stores water to survive during drought periods, and if pruned regularly it can take on beautiful bonsai shapes. From its dense and thin branches, typically in the drier periods of spring and autumn, dense tubular inflorescences bloom that take on various shades from white to red.

Plant care:
It requires a lot of light all year long, however avoid direct sunlight especially duting the hottest hours of the day.
Its natural habitat is in tropical climates, thus it does not withstand temperatures below 10 °C, and it does not like too dry heat. It is therefore advisable to keep it away from cold and intense sun.
Water moderately, only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once every two weeks in spring and summer, reduce it to once every two months in autumn and suspend it completely in winter.
The best option is a well-draining soil , even better if further enriched with inert materials such as pumice, sand or lapilli.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
