The variegated shape of this succulent presents yellowish shades or spots on the surface of the leaves, in the exact points where there is a lack of chlorophyll; These stains are never identical in different plants, thus making each of them unique and for this reason highly sought after by collectors. In its normal form is a succulent caudiciform plant also known as "Desert rose". It is a deciduous shrub (loses the leaves in the period of vegetative rest) that can reach 3 meters in height, with a caudex at the base, where it stores water to survive during periods of drought, and if pruned regularly it can take beautiful forms like bonsai. From its thick and thin branches bloom, typically in the driest periods of spring and autumn, dense tubular inflorescences that take on various shades from white to red.
