Caudiciform plant extremely appreciated by collectors for its natural bonsai appearance. It has a green and extremely swollen woody stem, which tends to develop taking on strange and asymmetrical shapes, which make each piece truly unrepeatable! This massive body, in addition to conferring charm, has the important task of storing large quantities of water, necessary for the plant to survive, in its land of origin, months and months of drought. From the caudex in spring thin and twisted stems branch off, which tend to cling to what they find to obtain only physical support; it has oval leaves, of a particular glaucous green color, tending to greyish (hence the name of the species "glauca"). For a very long period of time (from winter to all summer) Adenia glauca will delight you with its pleasant yellow flowers, with an extremely sweet scent. Perhaps not many know that, although the leaves contain a sap considered poisonous, the tuber was instead used by the native populations to suck water from its interior and survive even in the desert!
