Adenia fruticosa

In Latin "fruticosa" means "shrub", in fact A. fruticosa is a climbing shrub that can reach up to 2 m in height. Its tuberous trunk is green and smooth in the shape of an inverted cone ending with thin branches. The branches resemble lianas, can reach even 5 m in length, are covered with either green-gray or blue-green leaves. The leaves are annuals, they fall off during the vegetative rest and are reborn during the vegetative period. The flowers are bell-shaped, of a yellow-green color.
