The variegated shape of this succulent presents the typical yellow areas at the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent: there will therefore be different streaks in each plant, such as to make each exemplar absolutely unique and, for this, much coveted by collectors! In its normal form it is a shrub, very branched plant that can reach up to 2-3 m in height. It has cylindrical stems, tuberculate, up to 4 cm of diameter, on the top of which grow large leaves, up to 15 cm long, of pale green color, spatula-shaped and with the apex slightly serrated. Euphorbia poissonii is a deciduous plant, that is, it loses the leaves during the vegetative rest period and then regenerates them. Before producing new foliage, small greenish-yellow flowers with red stamens bloom on the plant. The name of the species honors Henri Louis Poisson, a French botanist, who discovered and described this variety. Important: when the plant is damaged, its poisonous and very irritating latex comes out, so if it does, be careful not to touch the eyes or mouth and wash your hands with soap.
