A lively and elegant succulent, not present in nature but obtained in nursery from the union of two specimens from different genera, Echeveria and sedum. The obtained plant will present typical Echeveria’s characteristics, like the colorations and the pointy leaves, merged with the fleshy, almost cylindrical foliage shape characteristic of Sedum. Disposed in a wonderful compact and not so big rosette. S. ‘Blue elf’ tends to develop multiple rosettes, creating a complex similar to a flower bouquet with splendid shades. The epidermis results as a nice bluish (hence the name of the specie), which pleasantly tends towards a a rosé, at times red, at the tip; the foliage apical coloration is accentuated when the plant is exposed at abundant sunlight and cooler temperatures, contrasting even more with the opaque and delicate effect that gives the leaves the withis bloom that covers them. This plant is commonly known as “happy plant” due to its abundant blooms that bloom several times during the year, enlivening this succulent with showy and bright yellow tones.
