Monadenium mafingense (Succulents)

Beautiful exemplar of succulent with tuberous stem that grows in the rocky areas of Mafinga Hills, located on the borderline between Malawi and Zambia. It has a lignified tuber from which depart the numerous stems covered by small leaves of green color. The latter have an oval shape; serrated margins of red-purple color and end with a tip. The small flowers of M. mafingense bloom between the leaves; they have a circular shape with fleshy petals of intense red color.
