Monadenium globosum (Succulents)

It is a caudiciform succulent with annual green stems. The green to purple leaves tend to grow upwards. The flowers are of different shades, ranging from light pink to deep red. During the vegetative rest it loses both the leaves and the stem, to grow them back during the vegetative period. In its caudex it stores water to survive during drought periods. Synonym: Euphorbia bisglobosa.
