Monadenium aff. pedunculatum long pedicel (Succulents)

In the name ‘Monadenium aff. pedunculatum’, "aff." stands for "similar" (in Italian "affine"), this means, that the plant has not been officially classified yet. It was found in Tanzania and was temporarily given the name 'aff. pedunculatum' ('similar to pedunculatum'). It is a caudiciform plant with green and lanceolate leaves, that resembles a small palm tree. During the vegetative rest it loses both the leaves and the stem, to grow them back during the vegetative period. In its caudex it stores water to survive during drought periods.
