Monadenium aff. nervosum (Succulents)

In the name ‘Monadenium aff. nervosum’, "aff." stands for "similar" (in Italian "affine"), this means, that the plant has not been officially classified yet. It was found in Zambia and it has been temporarily given the name 'aff. nervosum' (‘similar to nervosum’). It is a caudiciform plant with green and fleshy leaves. During the vegetative rest it loses both the leaves and the stem, to grow them back during the vegetative period. In its caudex it stores water to survive during drought periods.
