Huernia quinta (Succulents)

Beautiful and particular small succulent. H.quinta branches and expands horizontally, creating dense groups of green - greyish stems that with extended exposure to the sun can also take on purple tonalities. The stem is composed by four marked ribs; with dentitions ending in a yellowish tip. The plants of Huernia have a look similar to the cactaceae but they are actually succulent that, in order to adapt to the native arid environments, have reduced their leaves and transformed them rightly into dentitions that look like thorns. In October-January, we can admire the magnificent blooming with star-shaped inflorescences that have pale, white or cream tones, with well visible brown veins.
