It is a small perennial succulent plant, of a very unusual for Gasteria bushy shape, for this reason it takes the name of 'monster'. It is composed of long, flat, slightly pointed leaves, arranged vertically and intertwined with each other. The dark green color can take on bronzed shades, if exposed to intense light. Its flowering takes place in spring, at the apex of a long stem, where small cylindrical flowers of a white, red or pink color, bloom.
