Copiapoa calderana f. monstrous (Monstrous)

The monstrous shape of a cactaceae has anomalies, for example asymmetries in the stem, diversity of the thorns or particular protuberances that make that exemplar absolutely unique and never identical to others, for this extremely sought after by true connoisseurs. In its normal form it is a cactus plant much sought after and appreciated by collectors, in its natural habitat it grows mainly in rocky coastal areas. Its opaque green stem tending to greyish, has a slightly concave cylindrical shape at the apex, with well defined and slightly tuberculate thick ribs, along which there are small downy areolas and roundish yellowish in color. The spines are very long and robust, with a brownish yellow color that tends to gray with age. The flowering takes place in spring-summer and generates bell-shaped flowers with a glossy yellow color.
