Pachypodium eburneum (Caudex)

It is also known, as "Madagascar Palm". It is a slow growing caudiciform succulent, that resembles the P. densiflorum, however, the difference it’s in its spines, since they are thicker and denser. It is a very small-sized plant, that reaches a height of 25 cm. The trunk is of a silver color with green-gray shades. During the flowering period, its usually white (sometimes yellow) flowers bloom. In the caudex it stores water to survive during drought periods. During the vegetative rest it loses its leaves.
