Othonna opima (Caudex)

Wonderful succulent characterized, in mature exemplars, by a massive woody caudex that develops with growth, often only partially exposed outside the ground. From the latter stands a short central greenish stem adorned with characteristic cylindrical leaves, very fleshy and long, which tend to face upwards as a kind of original tuft of succulent grass. The foliage takes on a bright light green hue and lively pleasantly shaded of purple-red, especially at the apex, when the plant is abundantly exposed to sunlight. The entire epidermis is opaque thanks to a sort of whitish plum that completely covers and protects it from the elements, giving it at the same time a delicate and elegant look!
