"Aff." in the name of this plant means "similar" (in Italian - affine), which means that the Cephalopentandra sp. nova aff. eccirhosa has not been officially classified yet. It is a rare plant, highly sought after and appreciated by green collectors, has a tuberous root (caudex) of a brown color, which can reach large dimensions. It generates climbing stems, long and thin, from which lobed and green leaves emerge, which fall down during the period of vegetative rest.
