Rebutia wessneriana (Cactus)

The name of this cactus was chosen in honor of German collector Wilhelm Wessner. It has a globular stem, slightly depressed at the top, of a beautiful bright and lively green, with slightly pronounced hexagonal tubercles. From perfectly rounded white areoles come out long and thin light spines, very straight and interlocking in all directions, as if to completely envelop the plant which is actually completely hidden. In spring the whiteness of the cactus will be broken by lively funnel-shaped flowers with shades of red and orange, which will blossom on the sides of the stem.
