Rebutia torquata (Cactus)

Its name comes from the Latin 'torquatus, torquata, torquatum' which means ring, necklace, fitted with a necklace or collar; in reference to the very close and arranged in rows that form an almost continuous line similar to a necklace. It has a cylindrical stem of green color and numerous ribs well marked, above which are the woolly areolas. From the latter come out its radial spines; slightly curved and white with reddish-brown shades at the base. Its beautiful daisies bloom at the apex of the stem and have cream shades at the base and orange on the tips.
