This lovely exemplar of rebutia is a cultivar, that is, it is not present in nature but has origins from the nursery. Its stems are globular, of a pale green made even clearer by the thick and thin spines, which give the idea that the plant is covered by a short white down. From an initial solitary stem, the Rebutia then tends to generate numerous other stems, which then end up covering the pot or the soil in which it is planted. The flowering period is that in which Rebutia Apricot ice' gives the best of itself, covering almost entirely in magnificent flowers with gracefully pointed petals, a wonderful pale orange that reminds, in fact, the color of apricots.
