The crested form has the typical compact fan shape, often alternating with columnar stems, so that each specimen is never identical to the other. Normally Pilosocereus palmeri consists in a tall columnar stems (in the wild even 10 meters high!) with well-marked longitudinal ribs of a beautiful glaucous green tending to bluish. Long white hairs protrude from the areoles which contrast nicely with the stem and with the needle-like spines, initially yellow but then tending to take on brown-greyish tones with age. It is a perfect cactus to adorn your rooms, with its wonderful colors combined with the solemn appearance it won’t go unnoticed for sure!
