It is a cactacea with a strong chromatic impact, consisting of bluish-glaucous columnar stems with deep longitudinal grooves, along which rounded, white and slightly fluffy areoles stand out. The radial spines are candid, thin and very straight, while the central ones tend to brownish-reddish colors especially at the apex, where they contrast nicely with the white of the down that distinguishes the Pilosocereus genus. The stem of P. odilensis tend to reach considerable heights, but in cultivation they are more likely to clump, generating small groups of blue stems that give your environments a solemn and majestic charm, certainly unrepeatable!
