It is a fast-growing columnar cactus, easily recognizable and highly appreciated for its wonderful glaucous blue color. It produces a sturdy stem with 7-9 rounded ribs, on which very downy areoles are formed, arranged at a distance of 1-1.5 cm from each other. Towards the top, the areoles are covered with a dense whitish down, typical of the Pilosocereus genus. It has numerous yellowish spines which, with age, become lighter. In summer, its bell-shaped flowers bloom in a color that ranges from white to pink, from purple to brownish. The Pilosocereus leucocephalus is an ideal plant to adorn your gardens with an extraordinary touch.
