Pereskia weberiana (Cactus)

It is an extremely peculiar plant, which at first sight might resemble a succulent but which actually belongs to the Cactaceae family, and not only that: it is believed that this genus is a real living fossil, one of the first specimens of cacti to appear on earth millions of years ago! Typically of tropical origin, it has slender and branched stems, adorned with numerous ovoid leaves, slightly pointed at the tip; the skin has a beautiful bright green color, with a shiny appearance and rich in slight symmetrical veins along the entire surface. Overall, the stems that tangle with each other give P. weberiana the appearance of a pleasant bramble, made more delicate and elegant by the numerous white flowers that bloom when the cacti has reached maturity.
