Notocactus herteri (Cactus)

Named in honor of the botanist Wilhelm Herter, this cactus has a globular and solitary stem, which can sometimes create clusters, with perfectly symmetrical longitudinal ribs and delicate transversely furrowed tubercles. Its body, of an intense and very shiny green, contrasts with the white radial thorns, thin and arranged in a radial pattern, and the two or three central reddish and more robust spines. At the apex of the plant, in the middle of summer, beautiful pink-violet flowers will bloom, in which each petal is pleasantly nuanced and fringed at the edges. This cactacea is the perfect combination of symmetry and chromatic contrast: adding the fact that it’s easy to cultivate, it will be the perfect plant to decorate your spaces with simplicity!
