Melocactus diersianus f. variegated (Cactus)

Its variegated shape makes M. diersianus very appreciated by the collectors, thanks to the fact that the variegated plants are unique, the variegations are never identical from one plant to another. This cactus has a very attractive look, the dark green of the stem contrasts nicely with the yellow of the variegation, to create a beautiful visual impact. He has several regular ribs and tuberculates. The spines are numerous and protrude from the woolly aureole : the central ones are brownish and erect, the radial ones instead are curved. Its magnificent magenta flowers grow at the apex of the plant when it reaches maturity.
