Its name honors Wolfgang Krahn - a German collector, who found it in the Amazonas region of Peru in 1960. It is a globular cactus, generally solitary, with a green stem. The spines change the color during the growth of the plant: from yellow-brown to gray. Its abundant flowering lasts several days, its beautiful flowers bloom in spring /summer. The petals are red with purplish margins. M. krahnii is perfect for decorating your windowsills or terraces.
