F. curvispina is a cactus with cylindrical shape of stem and extremely small dimensions. Generally this plant tends to cluster, producing more closely spaced stems, in which the light green colour of the bodies contrasts nicely with the golden colour of the dense, short and very thin thorns, with the typical soft and slightly curved appearance that gives the species its name.
