Ferocactus stainesii f. monstrous (Cactus)

The monstrous shape of this cactus presents geometric anomalies, for example asymmetrical protuberances or absence of spines, different for each individual exemplar, so much so as to make each of them absolutely unique and for this extremely sought after by collectors. It is a solitary globose cactus, which over time can assume a columnar posture. The body, with an intense dark green colour, has several well-defined ribs on which emerge large round and fluffy white areolas. Its robust reddish or yellowish spines are flattened, slightly curved and tend to enclose the body. In the apical part it’s created a crown of fantastic funnel-shaped flowers on the notes of a bright orange.
