This exemplar of cactus native to Chile has a solitary posture but can also tuft. It has an intense green stem with tuberculate ribs above which are positioned fluffy areolas. From its areolas come out the radial and central spines, both of brown/greyish colour but the central ones are longer than the radial ones. Its beautiful white flowers bloom at the apex of the stems and have delicate petals.
